    AstraWorks is a national recruiting firm with a niche focus on finding talent in the power, renewable energy, design/build, and IT markets.

    Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Transmission and Distribution Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of transmission and distribution projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, project management, and a thorough understanding of electrical transmission and distribution systems.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, budget, schedule, and resource allocation. Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives and deliverables.
    2. Resource Management: Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to allocate resources effectively. Monitor resource utilization and make adjustments as necessary to ensure project milestones are met.
    3. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project delays and cost overruns. Proactively address any issues that may arise during project execution.
    4. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all project deliverables meet quality standards and comply with relevant regulations and industry standards. Conduct regular inspections and quality checks throughout the project lifecycle.
    5. Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, regulatory agencies, and internal departments. Provide regular updates on project status, milestones, and key issues.
    6. Budget Control: Monitor project expenses and track budget allocations to ensure that projects are completed within approved budgets. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
    7. Schedule Management: Develop and maintain project schedules using appropriate project management tools. Monitor progress against milestones and take corrective action to keep projects on track.
    8. Change Management: Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and budget. Evaluate the impact of change requests and communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment.
    9. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, schedules, budgets, and reports. Ensure compliance with all internal policies and procedures.
    10. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance project delivery efficiency and effectiveness.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
    • Proven experience in project management, particularly in transmission and distribution projects.
    • Strong technical knowledge of electrical transmission and distribution systems.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
    • PMP or other relevant certifications preferred.
