Job Overview:


We have a newly created opportunity for a Supervisor FP&A to lead the consolidation of KMT financial plans, business partnership of support functions, analysis and reporting of monthly results, and process improvement initiatives.

This role will be based out of our headquarters office in Milwaukee, WI.

In this role, you will have the responsibility for supervising the consolidation of quarterly financial forecasts and annual plan including Bookings, P&L, Balance Sheet, and Capital Expenditures.

You will also have the responsibility for supervising the preparation of a global consolidated monthly financial reporting package that provides a consistent, accurate report of operating results, and developing sustainable system-generated reports, dashboards, and KPIs using OneStream/BPC, SQL, Power BI, etc.

You will partner closely with our KMT Executive Leadership, Corporate Accounting, KMC Tax, Support Functions, and Audit teams.


Key Job Responsibilities:


  • Support financial planning cycle by supervising the preparation of templates that will be used to gather relevant data from KMT locations, operations, and cost center managers.
  • Communicate financial planning cycle requirements, assumptions, templates, and due dates to KMT locations, operations, and cost center managers. Provide support, training, etc. to effectively manage change in templates or process.
  • Prepare cost center outlooks and plans on a quarterly and annual basis for KMT administrative cost centers, as assigned.
  • Supervise the consolidation of financial plans on a quarterly and annual basis including Bookings, P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow. Review and challenge financial details for accuracy. Compare outlooks with prior actual results and plans to understand and articulate the key drivers of significant changes. Compare forecasts against ongoing and forwardlooking macro environment. Challenge inaccurate or unreasonable items.
  • Prepare presentation slides for consolidated KMT reviews and Management Committee meetings.
  • Supervise the consolidation of monthly and quarterly capital approval and spend reports and consolidation of annual 3Year Capital Expenditure (Capex) plan.
  • Supervise the preparation of financial trend and variance analyses comparing current operating results with prior operating results, outlook, and annual plan. Analysis will include sales, margins, expenses, invested capital, capital expenditures, bookings and backlog, and headcount. Followup with segment and operational stakeholders as needed to investigate key drivers. Provide analytical results in a concise format to be used by management to make key business decisions.
  • Supervise the preparation of a global monthly financial reporting package that provides a consistent, accurate report of operating results. Search out and implement financial reporting best practices.
  • Actively support cost center managers and senior leaders to ensure accurate forecasts are being created and followed while providing financial and accounting guidance and advice.
  • Ensure assigned balance sheet reserves are reconciled monthly. Ensure financial reporting controls are performed timely with proper evidence of review and support.
  • Develop sustainable systemgenerated reports, dashboards, and KPI/analytics using BPC, SQL, Power BI, etc. Supervise completion of ad hoc projects and requests as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Master's degree, CPA, CFA a plus.
  • Minimum4 years' experience in Accounting or Financial Planning & Analysis demonstrating a progressive level of responsibility. Ability to prepare financial statements and explain the results.
  • Driven and results oriented. Effective project leadership experience, time management, prioritization, and multitasking abilities. Committed to meeting established deliverables on time.


  • Robust computer skills

  • SAP, BPC, Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills, MS Access, SQL, RPA, BI/Power BI, strong technical aptitude
  • Ability to interpret data, explain financial results, develop trend lines, and assist in formulating actio
