    Job OverviewThe individual in this position will have experience gathering and documenting product requirements, working in a variety of systems environments and have at least a general understanding of the technology considerations.

    They will be comfortable leading workshops, working meetings and presentations, communicate in an empathetic, positive and friendly manner with a focus on clarifying business needs and customer service.

    In addition, they will be comfortable working with contractors, vendors and multiple processes and methodologies to manage requirements for all stakeholders.

    Key Job Responsibilities

    Business Process Design:
    o Contributes to the analysis of business processes to identify and clarify requirementso Contributes to improvements to business processeso Is able to analyze and assess an organization's business model

    Requirements Documentation:
    o Demonstrates an ability to express complex ideas clearlyo Facilitates analysis, classification and documentation of requirementso Proposes an appropriate document-set for a projecto Publishes, distributes and facilitates sign-off of requirements documentationo Manages changes to the requirements baselineo Supports impact analysis on changes to requirement(s) through project lifecycle

    Eliciting Requirements:
    o Gathers, clarifies and validates requirementso Acts as interpreter who facilitates communication between clients and internal teamso Anticipates, quantifies and resolves problems and issues with requirements

    Structured Analysis:
    o Uses data and process modelling techniques to identify and clarify requirementso Communicates with clients and internal teams to clarify and validate requirementso Uses data and process modelling tools

    Testing:

    • Degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field or a combination of education/training and work experience equivalent to an advanced degree.
    • - 10 years experience as a Business Analyst in software or interactive web development initiatives

    • Demonstrated experience producing technology project artifacts including:o Use Caseso Requirements Documentso Functional Specificationso Test Plans and Test Caseso Process Flows
    • Demonstrated experience in technology solution management, including:o Usability/GUI designo Web application development methodologieso Object-oriented development approacheso Working knowledge of third-party solution providerso Defining and documenting design to requirements trade-offs
    • Broad knowledge of programs, projects and knowledge management processes and toolsets
    • Knowledge of user-centered content development, interface design, information architecture, digital branding and marketing communications
    • Demonstrated experience in communications management, including:o Ability to communicate with a variety of audiences (internal and external teams)o Consensus building, team building and problem solvingo Written and oral communications, including presentations to senior level executiveso Ability to work with cross-functional teams (creative and technical) throughout implementation to ensure integrity to requirementso Organizing and facilitating meetings with business users for requirements gathering

    Microsoft DevOps/Github/JIRA experience.


    • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) would be preferred. Key Performance Behaviors Business analysis lead on complex software development project spread across multiple projects and vendors. Strong understanding of Komatsu's key applications across our Mining, Construction, Forestry and Forklift product lines Expert level understanding of key applications and related product roadmaps to support alignment with stakeholders on current and future direction and to drive adoption with external business partners and customers.
