    We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team and contribute to our continued success.

    Full Time Position & Part Time Position open Mon-Fri

    Not

    A remote position.


    As a Construction Estimator at Villa's Construction, you will play a crucial role in the pre-construction phase, ensuring the accuracy and competitiveness of our project bids.

    We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a deep understanding of construction trades, a minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating, proficiency in estimating software, and the ability to effectively manage projects while adhering to budgets.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Analyze project bid documents, including blueprints, specifications, and contracts, to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.

    Conduct detailed material takeoffs and labor analysis for a wide range of construction projects.

    site visits gathering relevant information and determine what information to be used to produce project estimates.

    Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and terms for materials and services.

    Utilize industry-standard estimating software to enhance accuracy and efficiency in the estimation process.

    Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they stay on schedule and within budget.

    Work closely with project managers to provide cost estimates and budgeting support.

    Monitor project progress and assist in change order pricing as necessary.

    Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and labor costs to maintain competitiveness in the market.

    Ability to prepare cost estimates & meet deadlines

    Knowledge of current local construction labor and material costs

    Extensive experience in developing and estimating the scope of work for change orders

    Ability to compare the independent cost estimate with contractor proposal to quickly identify differences

    Ability to develop scope of work based on RFI/RFC answers and estimates the detailed costs of those scopes of work independent of the contractor proposal

    Good oral and written communications skills


    Preferred Qualifications:
    Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Estimator.

    Ambition Friendly personality

    Bachelor's Degree

    Knowledge of Construction Project Management

    In-depth knowledge of all construction trades and practices.

    Proficiency in estimating software.

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

    Project management skills and the ability to multitask effectively.

    A commitment to adhering to budgets and meeting project deadlines.

    Expert in usage of eGordian/RS Means Database for JOC (Job Order Contracting) estimating

    Knowledge and familiar with General Trades of Disciplines of Architecture, Structural, Civil, etc.

    Working knowledge and general understanding of mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) trades.

    Knowledge and use of on-screen take-off using Bluebeam Revue, Buildertrend

    Knowledge and use of Means Cost Estimating online system.

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Spanish Speaker a plus not a must

    Strong computer competence with MS Office, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Dropbox, Google Drive, Matterport,

    Strong construction background

    Excellent written and verbal communication

    Proven ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities.

    Excellent organizational skills and be detailed oriented.

    Punctual with a strong work ethic
