- Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and directing the Nursing Department.
- Oversee all infection control tracking and ensuring all policies and ahdeared to facilitywide.
- In the absence of the DNS, you will oversee the entire nursing department ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local regulations.
- Identify the needs, problems and progress of nursing services and make recommendations for improvement.
- Implement and maintain quality care standards and policy and procedures across the department.
- Conduct regular rounds to monitor delivery of nursing care.
- Carry out, coordinate and manage administrative functions in areas or programs related to nursing services (risk management, infection control, staff development, etc.)
- Help to hire, train, teach, and monitor nursing staff and other support staff activities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Administrator and Director of Nursing.
- Valid New York State RN License.
- Must possess strong leadership skills as well as a strong focus for top notch resident care.
- Must have the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc. of the Nursing Department.
- Previous ADON/Infection Control care experience required.
- Excellent communication and client service skills.
- 5-10 years Long Term Care experience required

We are seeking a proactive, experienced Infection Control Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to oversee the total care and safety of all residents and employees during his/her tour of duty. Supervises and assist all nursing personnel in their work performance when necessary. Performs duties of Unit Nurse when necessary.
