    Amazon's Restricted Programs (RP) Legal is looking for a talented and motivated Compliance Specialist to be based in HQ1.

    RP Legal's mission is to maximize lawful selection of products offered through and while minimizing unlawful selection, product regulatory risk to Amazon, and negative impact on customer trust.


    The successful candidate will join contribute to RP Legal's operational excellence by assisting with the execution of our compliance life cycle and ensuring that high quality compliance inputs are provided in the process.

    To be successful, you will be comfortable working on repetitive tasks requiring strong judgment; communicate effectively with stakeholders, both verbally and in writing; and identify and document improvement opportunities within the processes on which you work.

    You also need to utilize good judgment, be self-motivated, and have a desire to learn and be curious.


    This role will give the successful candidate an opportunity to join a collaborative, tight-knit team that is driving global initiatives to maximize customer trust and lawful product selection while minimizing unlawful selection, product regulatory risk to Amazon, and negative value actions on customer trust.

    We help selling partners solve their compliance challenges in a low friction, low cost manner. We want regulators to trust and appreciate Amazon's product compliance engagement model and program.

    The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, pragmatic, enjoy working hard and being challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations.

    The position requires that you be self-motivated and will involve both independent and team work in a fast-paced environment that is constantly changing.

    You also need great judgment, a sense of humor, and a desire to learn and be curious.

    The Compliance Specialist will:
    1) Work with the team's program manager to analyze data and identify areas of improvement within the compliance life cycle.
    2) Lead legal research into a variety of complex federal, state, and local regulations.
    3) Communicate with stakeholders about RP Legal's compliance decisions and actions.
    4) Create, develop, and improve processes that are utilized by the team to effectuate compliance decisions.
    5) Learn and provide recommendations for improving existing technology that's relied upon to operationalize compliance actions.
    6) Support projects to improve efficiency and quality of our operational processes and work products.

    Basic Qualifications

    • 4+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
    • Experience handling confidential information
    Preferred Qualifications

    • 3+ years of program requirements definition and data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements experience
    • Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials
    • Experience with SQL and Excel

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets.

    The base pay for this position ranges from $59,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market.

    Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

    Amazon is a total compensation company.

    Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
