    Description

    Job Title Senior Engineer - Plumbing and Fire Protection Location Philadelphia - Philadelphia, PA 19106 US (Primary)

    Job Description We are currently recruiting for a Senior Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineer for our growing Philadelphia office to work as part of a team on a wide range of building facility projects. Our PFP Engineers work closely with the Project Managers (PM) or Senior Project Engineers for technical review and guidance. Ideal candidates will possess a bachelors degree from an accredited engineering program and have 10+ years of relevant experience.

    **Responsibilities:**

    Prepare basic deliverables and products including calculations, drawings, and specifications

    Set deadlines and assigns responsibilities

    Examine field conditions as required to support development and completion of projects

    Design plumbing and fire protection systems including calculations of preliminary water, gas, sanitary/sewer and storm loads while adhering to the firms QA/QC process

    Develop project specifications

    Attend meetings with architects, owners and building managers to discuss future and or current projects

    Responsible for meeting the clients project goals and objectives

    Represent the company in a professional manner in all dealings with owners, architects, vendors, other design professionals and contractors

    Assist in business development by pursuing new work including participation in client presentations

    Assist in the firms human resource efforts through training and mentoring junior firm members

    Enhances the firms reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing internal and external client requests

    Demonstrates core values and serves as a role model/mentor to all firm members

    Updates job knowledge and technical expertise by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, participating in technical organizations and obtaining certifications in area of expertise and participating in the firms Technical Committee as requested

    Perform other duties as assigned

    Job Requirements **Skills/Qualifications:**

    Bachelors Degree from an accredited engineering program

    Minimum of 10+ years of experience with a MEP consulting engineering firm

    Minimum of 5+ years of Plumbing and Fire Protection systems design experience

    Comprehensive knowledge and interpretation of code compliance requirements and industry standards

    Experience with healthcare related facilities projects preferred

    Possess clear and concise verbal and written communication skills

    Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and in a highly collaborative team environment

    Ability to consistently set goals and meet deadlines and adapt to flexible responsibilities

    Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

    Experience with Deltek Vision or Project Resource Management software is preferred

    Ability to meet and exceed client expectations

    **Required/Preferred Credentials:**

    PE license is preferred

    LEED Certification is preferred

    Certifications in areas of expertise are preferred
