POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Procurement Manager, External Manufacturing – Innovation & Growth is responsible for managing the entire innovation & growth initiatives at External Manufacturers (EMs), and innovation deployment for the MKC External Manufacturing network in North America.
The individual in this position will be a Strategy and Portfolio Management Expert adept in complexities related to External Manufacturing to drive both financial and performance results.
They will manage key internal stakeholders including Marketing, Operations, Finance, Quality, R&D and Cat Management/Ops Procurement teams.This role will be responsible for developing and executing the innovation strategy at EMs and developing an eco-system of small to medium-sized co-manufacturers to support our agile innovation ambition.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Accounting or applicable field of study
7+ years in Purchasing/Supply Chain environment with appropriate business experience.
4+ years project management, execution of or participation in large, multiple or cross-functional projects.
Project management/process improvement.
3+ years managing, leading developing dynamic work teams.
Proven experience and results on major cost savings initiatives.
Technical awareness in assigned categories.
McCormick product and business knowledge.
Knowledge of Company priorities and strategic direction.
Systems capabilities to maximize supplier performance and negotiating leverage.
Ability to assess and analyze moderately complex business opportunities.
Ability to deal with diverse and sometimes conflicting priorities.
Sound and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills
Effective at establishing trust and building effective business relationships and getting things done through others
Detail oriented
Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities
Demonstrated communication and organizational skills, self-starter, able to work both independently and in partnership with others.
Mastery in MS Office (Excel, Access, Project, PowerPoint, Word)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
MBA, or other equivalent Master's degree
CPM or APICS certification
SAP experience
