As a result of continued growth, we are actively seeking an experienced
Fire Alarm Technician to join our team in Baltimore, MD.


As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will:

  • Repair/service, troubleshoot and install fire alarm system, voice/evacuation & power extender panels, annunciators & fire alarm dialers.
  • Identify fire alarm deficiencies.
  • Knowledge of different types of panels and how to access programming features.
  • Troubleshooting knowledge of field wiring and output circuits.
  • Ability to read and use a multimeter properly.
  • Proper customer service and communication with internal and external customers
  • Obtain and/or maintain NICET certification.
  • Cover oncall hours for servicing customers, including nights and weekends on a rotating basis.

Qualifications:


  • Microsoft Office programs
  • Familiarity with Firelite, Silent Knight, Notifier, Simplex, Gamewell & Siemens systems
  • Valid state driver s license.
  • Travel between customer sites daily within the Baltimore & Washington, DC metropolitan areas.

Education and/or Experience:


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic electrical skills

Certifications, Licenses and
Registrations:


  • NICET
  • Any specific manufacturer factory training certification or license.
  • Journeyman or Master s electrical license

Physical Demands and Work Environment:


  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
  • Depending on the customer site, noise level could be quiet (as in a library or public office) or moderate (as in a business office with computers and light traffic)
  • Ability to withstand heights and climb ladders comfortably.
