    Join Our Team - Quotations/Estimating Positions Available

    Are you passionate about lighting and eager to contribute to successful construction projects? A leading commercial lighting distributor in Farmingdale, NY, is seeking motivated individuals to join our team.

    Position Overview: As we embark on our next phase of growth, we are hiring Quotations/Estimating candidates who are detail-oriented, team players, and dedicated to success. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing comprehensive RFP responses for our diverse client base. This includes reviewing project requirements, collaborating with vendors, and producing professional proposals to meet our clients' needs.

    Job Description:

    • Set up Estimate Folders
    • Review lighting drawings, specifications, and proposals for various projects
    • Issue pricing requests to vendors and review pricing responses
    • Prepare detailed quotes including fixture types, part numbers, and unit pricing
    • Maintain schedules, timelines, and project statuses
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate proposals
    • Build and maintain relationships with vendors and clients
    • Ensure timely and accurate responses to each RFP

    Qualifications:

    • 3+ years of experience in the Lighting/Electrical Industry preferred
    • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Adobe; Experience in Oasis software a plus
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Excellent time management and organizational abilities
    • Ability to read construction plans and documents
    • Team player with the ability to work collaboratively with sales, procurement, and management

    Schedule:

    • 8-hour shifts, 35 hours per week
