***: The Events Sales Manager will be responsible to establish, build, and maintain corporate & event relationships. This position will be in charge of prospecting, contracting, and driving sponsorship revenue.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Development and execution of sales strategies for both event based sponsorships
  • Sell sponsorships that guarantee minimum net profit margins
  • Develop and implement sales annual strategy to meet and exceed revenue goals for corporate and proam event models
  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through closing contract process management
  • Establish and maintain event sales with specific pricing models in order to maximize event profitability
  • P&L responsibility for meeting the events revenue goals
  • Prepare/manage sales document process (proposals, contracts)
  • Maintain a customer relationship management (CRM) platform, which includes opportunity information management, contact information, and business development activity
  • Research and prospect potential clients
  • Maintain client relationship through service cycle to identify and close inside/future sales
  • Create referral programs (internal/external)
  • Leverage extended personnel and resources to expand sales network
  • Develop and oversee a book of business that includes new business and renewals, along with yearoveryear growth
  • Establish and monitor metrics and initiatives that drive business strategy and performance
  • Motivate all stakeholders to grow the events and achieve desired business revenue results
  • All other duties assigned by management

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or Sports Management preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in executivelevel event/hospitality sales
  • Track record of revenue generation, sales success, and sponsor activation
  • Selfstarter and team player who embraces both individual and department sales goals
  • Ability to maintain exceptional interpersonal relationship and develop trust with clients
  • Expert level command of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to learn multiple new software platforms quickly

WORK ENVIRONMENT:


  • Intermittent office noise
  • Must be able to lift at least 20 lbs.
  • Willing and able to travel on short notice (up to 75%)
