    Job Description

    The Maintenance Manager plans, directs, and coordinates employees' activities involved in supporting chemical production plants, focusing on central maintenance, utilities supply, treatment of water, waste waters, and engineering stores.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities
    • Develops programs to ensure safe work practices and quality results at optimal cost levels.
    • Participates in continuous improvement initiatives for safety, health, and the environment.
    • Prepares and monitors budgets.
    • Plans and oversees plant and boiler shutdown activities.
    • Provides technical support for maintenance functions.
    • Manages strategic CapEx projects.
    • Offers advisory support to the plant-engineering group.
    • Maintains engineering standards and compliance.
    • Supports off-shift maintenance staff.
    • Drives cultural changes within the organization.
    • Resolves personnel conflicts and ensures customer satisfaction.
    • Develops systems to enhance understanding of maintenance costs and utility measures.
    • Oversees the daily utilities systems operations.
    • Inspects and troubleshoots equipment, including steam boilers.
    • Manages engineering stores functions to support plant needs.
    • Performs other assigned projects and duties.

    Requirements

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    • Strong knowledge in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, boiler operations, welding, plumbing, and hydraulics.
    • Experience in budget administration and financial reporting.
    • Ability to read technical manuals, interpret blueprints, and establish valid conclusions.
    • Strong team-building skills.
    • Effective communication abilities.
    • Proficiency in mathematical calculations.
