    Software Engineer II – Full Stack

    About the job:


    7-Eleven is looking for a Software Engineer joining a team of multidisciplinary team of engineers who create digital products that millions of 7-Eleven customers experience every day.

    We are seeking seasoned full-stack developers who can perform hands-on software development around Web App, REST APIs, batch processes, reporting jobs using cutting-edge open-source frameworks and cloud native microservices

    Key Responsibilities:


    Expert in development and architectural best practices for responsive web apps/sites (using HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, JQuery, PHP, and SASS) as well as frameworks (including React and Next) as well as their interactions with CMSs (such as Django CMS).

    Design APIs, develop shippable code, documentation, and unit test new features for digital products.
    Works with fellow API Developers, Team Leads, Architects to deliver features through the creation of re-usable RESTful APIs.

    Collaborate with Quality, Product and Cloud Engineering teams to keep digital assets fully functional, secure, and up to date with business needs.

    Perform pair programming, effectively communicate ideas with the team, assist in systems integration, performance testing and product releases
    Implement policies, roles, data access controls, monitoring events, resolve system and data issues for continuous functioning of APIs
    Mentor junior developers through work product review, help with design, development tools and development best practices


    Qualifications:

    Qualifications:
    3+ years of experience with frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or )
    3+ years of experience with backend frameworks , Spring Framework, etc.)
    3+ years of experience with database design (SQL and NoSQL)
    3+ years of experience with cloud services (Virtual Machines, Serverless Functions, Blob Storage)
    Familiarity with containerized application tooling and deployments (Docker/Kubernetes)
    Stays on the leading edge of software development tools and best practices.
    Self-directed with a start-up entrepreneur mindset
    Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science/Engineering/Math, or relevant experience
