POSITION SUMMARY

The Staff Accountant will work directly with our Senior Accountants and provide assistance to the Accounting Department, with a primary focus on month-end closing activities. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to expand their knowledge of accounting and work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in month-end, year-end closing activities, including preparation of journal entries.
Analyze and reconcile related GL accounts.
Record daily cash activity and reconcile bank accounts.
Process and close Fixed Assets.
Review, analyze and post T&E transactions.
Ad hoc projects as requested by management.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related required.
2-4 years of experience, with a solid understanding of accounting.
Highly proficient with Microsoft Office suite (specifically advanced Excel); experience with Oracle Cloud is a plus.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proactive problem solver who is highly organized, with strong attention to detail, to ensure accurate and timely task completion, with a commitment to quality.
Independent self-starter, with high initiative and strong work ethic, comfortable asking questions and learning from others.
Flexibility to be onsite at our Jersey City, NJ Corporate Office, as needed.
