Our more than 50 physicians, specialists and credentialed health care providers are assisted by 175 trained support staff.

We do our best to take care of everything for our patients - records, scheduling appointments, coordinating with providers and specialists, and each of our offices has laboratory centers for tests and blood work on site.

We are looking for a Gastroenterology Technician to add to our Ambulatory Surgery Center in Towson, MD


Shift:
Monday - Friday 7:00 am -3:00 pm


WHAT YOU WILL DO:


  • Set up Endo room by Physician preference.
  • Assist physician and CRNA/Anesthesiologist with endoscopic procedures in procedure room.
  • Attach patient to monitor, make linen rolls, assemble charts and sticker patient packets and bring patient back to the ASC.
  • Accountable for the accurate preparation of all specimen labeling per policy and accurately identifies source.
  • Accountable for accurate documentation of specimens on the Intraoperative record.
  • Responsible for bringing the patient into the Preop area for admission.
  • Participate in end of the day biopsy count with lab representative. Verifies labeling correct with requisition name and number of bottles.
  • Maintain records of all safety checks, scope repairs, and disinfectant and filter change records.
  • Monitor and record chemical concentrations per policy to ensure high level disinfection of equipment is complete.
  • Responsible for restocking endoscopy rooms and scope room with designated supplies, maintaining par levels of supplies.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:


  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance and stand for long periods of time.
  • Excellent patient care and customer service skills.
  • Experience working in an ASC or as a GI Tech is required.
