We also offer unique services like our ambulatory surgery center and nuclear stress testing facility.

Our more than 40 physicians, specialists and credentialed health care providers are assisted by 175 trained support staff.

We do our best to take care of everything for our patients - records, scheduling appointments, coordinating with providers and specialists, and each of our offices has laboratory centers for tests and blood work on site.


We are seeking a Patient Service Representative Team Lead (Float) to join our team in Towson The Patient Service Representative (aka PSR) is the first point of contact and provides a professional, supportive, and nurturing experience for patients, visitors and colleagues via telephone and/or in person. The Team Leader is a co-assignment that is performed in addition to the employee's primary position with their practice team. The Team Leader performs under the supervision of the Assistant Practice Manager or Practice Manager.


The Team Leader supervises assigned team members at the point-of-service in carrying out their duties and responsibilities as they relate to the direct delivery of patient care and service delivery, or office or support services to patients, practitioners or staff.

Monday-Friday / Hours Daily

WHAT YOU WILL DO:


  • Identifies and quickly assesses nature of call and acts appropriately to provide prompt patient service.
  • Schedules patient appointments.
  • Understands the electronic insurance verification system and checks patient eligibility of scheduled patients daily and completes or corrects any eligibility issues before the scheduled appointment.
  • In coordination with the Supervisor, schedules, on a regular basis, and facilitates Team meetings.
  • Evaluates work assignments and directs workflow of Team.
  • Maintains time tracking records.
  • Counsels employees regarding Leave Abuse and follows through with Leave Abuse documentation.
  • Edits and approves time keeping records for assigned Team members assuring functions are completed accurately and timely to meet payroll deadlines.
  • Keeps regular attendance; arrives on time and ready to work at the beginning of each scheduled workday and remains at work until the end of the scheduled shift.

Requirements:


WHAT YOU WILL BRING:


  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Medical Office experience is preferred.
  • Excellent patient care and customer service skills.
  • Experience supervising a team of at least 1015 employees is required.
  • Ability to convey a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to build a positive rapport with staff, management, and providers.
