Key Responsibilities:
Manages the development and application of products and services in those areas through EPRI staff, contractors, and departmental or cross-functional teamsExercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment.
Completed work is reviewed from a relatively long-term perspective, for desired resultsPlans and directs schedules and monitors budget/spendingOrganizes the external and interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budgetMay conduct research directly in complex, high impact technical or scientific fields.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Education:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience requiredSpecific Duties and Responsibilities: Develop innovative project proposals associated with safe, optimized, and cost-effective advanced nuclear reactor and small modular reactor fuel conceptsExecute projects and tasks associated with various advanced reactor and small modular reactor fuel concepts to support fuel licensing and operational issuesSupport global utility and advanced nuclear reactor and small modular reactor developers in addressing technology gaps on development, licensing, and operational issues on advanced reactor fuelsFoster and maintain strong collaboration with international organizations and Department of Energy National Laboratories working in the advanced nuclear reactor industry focused on fuelsUS and non-US travel to support above tasks and technology transfer with utilities and nuclear reactor design organizationsLeading and facilitating industry meetings, including large in-person meetings and webcastsManaging multiple projects simultaneously starting from their initial concepts through development of project work scopes, oversight of R&D tasks at various contracted laboratories, and reviews of deliverable technical reports.
The ideal candidate in this role will have:
A deep knowledge and direct experience on advanced reactor and/or small modular reactor designs and fuel concepts, and the necessary soft skills to be successful in execution of the above scope, including the motivation to significantly support industry engagementStrong presentation and communication skillsWorking knowledge of light water reactor fuel designs, operation, fuel reliability and performance issuesThe salary range for this position is $142,500 USD to $178,500 USD annually.
This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on various factors, including without limitation applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.This role is eligible to participate in EPRI's annual incentive program. The amount of incentive varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the plan.
This role is eligible to participate in EPRI's standard employee benefit programs, which currently include the following:
medical, dental, vision, 401k, STD/LTD and paid family leave, life and accident insurance, paid time off (flexible vacation, sick leave, and holiday pay).EPRI participates in E-Verify, an online system operated jointly by the Department of Homeland Security and the Social Security Administration (SSA).
