CRG is partnering with a client in Atlanta looking to hire a Payroll Specialist for their team. The Payroll Specialist will report to the Payroll Manager and handle bi-weekly payrolls for salaried and hourly employees using UKG Pro Payroll software. The ideal candidate should be experienced with UKG Pro, have at least 3 years of payroll processing experience, and be familiar with UTM or similar time management systems. This role offers a hybrid work schedule and a friendly work environment.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Payroll Auditing: Conduct detailed audits of time and labor data, collaborate with supervisors to resolve discrepancies.
Multi-State Payroll Processing: Handle payroll operations in a multi-state environment accurately, including shift differentials and compliance with regional regulations.
Tax and Deduction Accuracy: Ensure precise handling of federal, state, and local taxes, as well as deductions like social security contributions and garnishments.
Reconciliation and Resolution: Assist in reconciling payroll accounts and promptly resolve any discrepancies.
Employee Support: Provide courteous and prompt assistance to employees regarding paycheck details, benefits, and more.
Garnishment Processing: Manage garnishments efficiently and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
Research and Documentation: Conduct thorough research and gather documentation for tax accounts, collaborating with stakeholders for resolution.
System Liaison: Communicate effectively with UKG regarding payroll and system-related issues.
Reporting and Analytics: Generate insightful payroll reports from UKG Pro for decision-making.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience: Minimum of 3 years in payroll roles in a multi-state environment.
Education: Associate or bachelor's degree, or payroll certification preferred.
Software Proficiency: Proficient in UKG Pro payroll software, experience with UKG Time Management preferred.
Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of year-end processes and W-2 form processing.
Cross-Functional Skills: Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
Deadline Management: Thrive in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
