Job DescriptionSHR Talent is partnering with a Healthcare client in Brentwood, TN in its search for a Hybrid Remote Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant will support Accounts Payable, payroll, and general ledger functions, playing a crucial role in month-end closing, including account reconciliations. As the Senior Accountant, you will actively contribute to the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department and take on special projects under the guidance of the Accounting Manager and Controller.

An ideal candidate for the Senior Accountant role will possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, strong leadership and interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines, and will be detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Oversee the general ledger activities, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions, reconciliations, and journal entries
Coordinate and lead internal and external audits, ensuring compliance and providing necessary documentation and support to auditors
Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and implement improvements for efficiency and accuracy
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment
Conduct various financial analyses and present findings to management, contributing to strategic decision-making

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, preferred
Minimum of 4+ years in a healthcare accounting position, required
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation
Strong proficiency in accounting software(s) and Microsoft Excel
