- Performing assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger closing processes
- Assisting in the development of financial statements and reports
- Reviewing and explaining variances to budget/forecast and to previous reporting periods on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Preparing journal entries and monthly account reconciliations
- Working closely with other functional areas and business management to resolve issues and support achievement of business goals

Our Vaco team is partnering with a local SaaSclient for an interim Senior Accountant role. As a Vaco professional consultant, you leverage your professional passion and demonstrated expertise to help our clientstackle complex business challenges.
We are looking for a strong senior accountantto drive knowledge transfer with an outgoing senior, execute onmonthly close, reviewing staff accountants work, and supporting with process improvement initiatives. This will require someone to be local to the greater Nashville area, as they want someone on-site each week (hybrid flexibility).
As a Senior Accountant your typical day may involve:
