- Performing custodial duties such as dusting, sweeping, washing, wiping, scrubbing, shoveling, and mopping throughout the entire facility.
- Maintain sanitary conditions in the facility by collecting and disposing of all trash or debris, as well as cleaning up spills.
- Clean cooler and cooler floor sweeps, mop coolers, dry warehouse, all aisles, and the equipment mezzanine.
- Scrub floors in aisle areas of the dry warehouse, cooler areas, and docks.
- Preserve floor care in assigned areas using power equipment.
- Maintain parking lots and front sidewalks weekly or as needed.
- Eliminate trash or other damaging elements from the premises.
- Complete daily sanitation log to document sanitation activities.
- Support the stretch wrap and cardboard recycling program.
- Dust and vacuum warehouse racks.
- Remove cobwebs from the warehouse area regularly.
- Clean restrooms when necessary to maintain sanitary conditions.
- Work with the supervisor to minimize warehouse shrink.
- Ensure the neatness and cleanliness of work areas and travel aisles.
- Maintain warehouse product locations accuracy during slot cleaning.
- Report any unfixable/unsafe issues to the supervisor immediately.
- Enforce safety rules to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and orderly.
- Maintain material handling equipment and report repair needs.
- Adhere to company policies and regulations.
- Comply with all applicable laws and policies.
- Education: High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: 1-year warehouse related experience and/or training.
- Requirement: Must be 18 years of age. Must work independently with minimal supervision and have strong attention to details.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Effective communication with co-workers and in group settings.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical operations.
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and deal with standardized situations.
- Use hands for handling objects and tools, stand and walk, reach, climb, balance, talk, hear, and stoop.
- Lift and move various weights.
- Have specific vision abilities.
- Work hours may vary based on departmental requirements.
- Exposed to warehouse and mechanical equipment, freezer/cooler environments, and various conditions.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
