- To assess and coordinate crisis intervention in emergency situations involving clients either in person or by telephone such as, but not
- Refer clients to SCMHC services at Physician request.
- Schedule client appointments for the assigned MDs.
- Provide letters for clients (general typing) for assigned MDs.
- Do client admission to Medication Clinic in TIER.
- Be responsible for documentation in the Medical Record relating to the client case in accordance with Center procedures and
- Update client addresses to IS dept.
- Review returned MD SARs for corrections
- Review accuracy of client Medical Record prior to MD visit for needed signatures, forms, etc.
- Attend scheduled staff meetings or other QI team meetings,
- Review MD documentation (treatment plan and review, tracking sheet, progress note, MAR).
- Demonstrate the ability to interpret and abide by confidentiality laws, abuse reporting guidelines, clients rights requirements, and abide
- Knowledge of the operation of a medical office. Knowledge of mental health and substance abuse related issues.
- Basic knowledge of medications used in treatment.
- Good writing skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of PC.
- General typing skills.
- High School diploma or GED equivalency with healthcare experience
(required) - Associates degree in Human Services and/or at least one year experience in mental health setting
(preferred) - Medical Assistant or CNA Certification
(preferred) - Bilingual
