Objective:
This position is integral for managing Active Directory, Windows servers, and Exchange server within a hybrid cloud environment consisting of Azure cloud and on-premises systems.
The designated Systems Administrator will be responsible for:
a. Active Directory Management
i. Organizational Units (OUs) administration.
ii. Creation and maintenance of Group Policies.
iii. Regulation of user and group permissions.
iv. Regular AD maintenance and audits.
b. Windows Server Administration
i. Consistent patching and updating of servers.
ii. Monitoring of system health, disk space, and performance.
iii. System tuning for peak server efficiency.
iv. Configuration and governance of server roles and features.
v. Implementation of backup and recovery solutions.
c. Exchange Server Management
i. Oversight of distribution lists.
ii. Configuration and management of SMTP relays, Mobile Device Mailbox Policies, and
other relevant connectors.
iii. Assuring optimal performance of mailbox databases.
iv. Establishing and managing retention policies.
d. Hybrid Cloud Environment (Azure and On-premises)
i. Deployment and management of eDiscovery services in Azure and Office 365.
ii. Upholding security best practices for the hybrid setup.
iii. Management of integrations and syncing using Azure AD Connect and other pertinent
iv. Fine-tuning configurations for security and performance in the hybrid cloud.
e. Performance Monitoring and Reporting
i. Continuous system performance monitoring.
ii. System tuning for enhanced performance.
iii. Monitoring of disk space. Drafting and submission of periodic system health and
performance reports.
f. Regular technical support, troubleshooting, and user training as required.
g. Documentation of all configurations, changes, and system updates.
