    Job Title:
    Financial Management Consultant

    What You Will Do:
    As a Financial Management Consultant, you will assist clients in improving their finance organization.

    This includes designing operational models, reducing costs sustainably, financial planning and analysis, management reporting, financial system architecture, and transforming finance processes.


    Responsibilities:
    Provide ongoing financial management support to Federal clients, following Federal financial management requirements
    Support the development of business case documentation through quantitative analysis (e.g., needs analysis, cost/benefit analysis)
    Prepare, review, and reconcile various financial documents (e.g., invoices, travel vouchers)
    Identify and suggest opportunities for process improvement
    Create work products that clearly synthesize information into actionable recommendations for clients
    Conduct client meetings to gather data and understand client needs and goals
    Prepare training materials and facilitate knowledge transfer to client stakeholders
    Provide guidance, coaching, and quality assurance to junior staff


    Requirements:
    At least 1 year of financial management experience, preferably in the public sector
    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in any field, with at least 24 semester hours in accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management
    Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
    Strong written and verbal communication skills
    Experience in Federal consulting
    Experience in internal control assessments
    Experience working with Federal agencies
    Knowledge of Federal financial management regulations, such as the Treasury Financial Manual, Federal Financial Management Improvement Act (FFMIA), and OMB Circular A-123
    Understanding of the Federal budget process

    Preferred Qualifications:
    This position can be based in either Washington, DC or McLean, VA.
