At Advantis Global, we're thrilled to connect you with an exciting opportunity at our clients' Labs in Redmond. This role is on the forefront of developing the next generation of virtual reality (VR) products that aim to enhance the way people connect. As a Prototyping Electrical Technician within the Prototyping & Concept Team, you will leverage your expertise to support the development of cutting-edge VR prototypes. This position is perfect for those passionate about bringing new ideas to life and working in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
THE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU
Collaborate with VR prototype teams to support prototype builds, including electrical and mechanical assembly, and component level placement/rework.
Partner with cross-functional teams such as system engineering, architecture, product design, and research to accelerate early concept development.
Manage multiple work streams, independently balancing and prioritizing project workload against tight timelines.
Demonstrate creativity and problem-solving skills in a team-oriented, detail-focused role.
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
10+ years of experience in prototype building, bench electrical assembly, bring-up, and electro-mechanical integration.
Proficiency in soldering, including fine-pitched devices, rework power components, and handling 0201 or 0402 components.
Experience setting up, supporting, and maintaining hardware in a lab environment.
Capable of reading and understanding schematics to locate components on PCBs using design schematics and layout viewers.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with systems-level engineering development and testing of complex integrated electromechanical assemblies.
Hands-on experience with debugging tools such as Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, and Logic Analyzers.
Skills in parts programming (e.g., FPGA, Flash) and taking scope measurements.
