Role Highlights:

As a RapidResponse Applications Engineer at SMTC, and member of the Global Information Technology department, you will be central in fusing advanced IT solutions, particularly through the Kinaxis RapidResponse platform, into our supply chain processes.

Your role ensures seamless integration and agile responses to operational challenges.

Beyond deep platform expertise, you will also take on application ownership, emphasizing our commitment to enhancing systems and refining legacy applications.

Your position epitomizes our dedication to steering SMTC towards scalable growth and industry leadership.

Primary Responsibilities:
Lead the continuous improvement of the RapidResponse platform, aligning it with organizational objectives and supply chain efficiency.

Serve as the primary subject matter expert for RapidResponse, offering insights, best practices, and facilitating training to drive platform proficiency.

Troubleshoot and swiftly resolve RapidResponse system issues, minimizing disruptions and partnering with IT for updates and integrations.
Perform RapidResponse development tasks, including workbook analysis, design, and enhancement, while upholding coding and system standards.
Foster collaboration between IT, business units, and external vendors to optimize the RapidResponse platform and its functionalities.
Oversee RapidResponse incident management, identify recurring challenges, and implement preventive measures to streamline platform processes.
Leverage RapidResponse analytics to propose IT solutions that enhance supply chain efficiency, reduce operational costs, and elevate customer satisfaction.
Manage RapidResponse integration projects, ensuring technology solutions align with platform requirements and future growth.

Serve as a RapidResponse technical expert and SME to provide mentoring, training, and roll out support to our end users.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

Able to communicate and develop a strong Network and relationship between all SMTC personnel through strong, organized writing and verbal skills.

Strong skill with Kinaxis RapidResponse Integration.
Advanced knowledge of RapidResponse Data Import and Data Update processes, Workbook, Dashboard, Score Cards, Alerts and Automation Chain configuration.
Knowledge and experience with RapidResponse Capacity Planning, Clear to Build, PO Auto Generation, Inventory Management and Demand Planning processes.
Experienced in large scale enterprise COTS and Bespoke software development and

engineering/architecture.
Apt in organizational structure and business workflow and processes in manufacturing
Experience implementing software solutions using SDLC Computer system usage and communications software including word processing, Windows32/64-bit
System Integration (Inter-entity / organization / Supply Chain)
General knowledge in sftp, ftp, EDI processing, System Integration and Data Mapping
Troubleshooting (Problem Identification and Resolution)
Collecting and analyzing research data to triage and troubleshoot issues.
Managing and organizing work along with Setting specific goals and priorities.
Determining logical solutions to complicated problems.
Superior ability to read and interpret written material including the recognition of technical terms and jargon.
Commercial manufacturing or component manufacturing service background a plus.
Computing multiple-step mathematical calculations.
Maintaining a high level of confidentiality regarding corporate information.
Kinaxis Authoring Certification for Rapid Response Level 2.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Supply Chain Management; experience may substitute for the degree – or minimum 5 years of related work experience with an emphasis on RapidResponse system expertise.

A minimum of 5 years of hands-on full-time experience in developing solutions within RapidResponse for enterprise organizations.
