- Responsible for identifying, selecting, and applying the most suitable guidelines and procedures for grant submissions and implementation.
- Develop, administer, and monitor financial activities for grant-funding opportunities from local, state, federal, or private sources.
- Research and identify grant funding opportunities, review and analyze funding programs, and secure necessary documents.
- Manage grant contracts and agreements, including negotiations and securing matching funds.
- Participate in the preparation of grant proposals, budgets, and related documents.
- Supervise, direct, and evaluate staff and volunteers, ensuring smooth workflow and performance.
- Provide oversight for grant funds, prepare financial reports and ensure compliance with guidelines.
- Coordinate grant audit processes and handle grant closures in line with regulations.
- Perform other administrative duties as needed to support grant activities.
- Knowledge of Federal and State grants, grant administration principles, financial planning, and fundraising practices.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to establish effective relationships, and present grant information clearly.
- Skills in preparing presentations, using graphic design, and presenting information effectively.
- Ability to work independently and in a team, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail, adaptability, and professionalism are crucial for success in this role.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
- Effective time management skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree required, specialized training in grant writing and management preferred.
- Five to seven years of experience in a relevant field.
- Knowledge of municipal operations and management experience.
- Additional certifications such as GMCP or CGMP are advantageous.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and organizational procedures.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends as needed.
- Pre-employment screening required, including background check and drug testing.
