SUMMARY:


The Manager, Grants plays a pivotal role in the financial sustenance of the organization by leading grant acquisition, management, and reporting.

This position involves identifying funding opportunities, writing high-quality grant proposals, overseeing the work of a Grants Contractor and ensuring compliance with grantors' requirements.

The Manager is responsible for fostering relationships with current and potential funders, coordinating with various departments to align project goals with available grants, and managing a grants support consultant to achieve optimal results.

Additionally, this role requires tracking the execution of grant-funded projects, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

This is a senior-level position that necessitates strategic thinking, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the organization's mission and objectives.


REPORTS TO:
Chief Development Officer

**SPECIFIC DUTIES:

Grant Writing and Proposals:

  • Research and identify Corporate and Foundation grant
  • Develop and submit compelling grant proposals in collaboration with relevant departments and external grant writing consultants.
  • Ensure compliance with grant agreements and requirements and submit accurate and timely reports to funders.
  • Work closely with various departments to align grant opportunities with organizational objectives and project goals.

Donor Database Management:

  • Maintain consistent, accurate, and detailed records of Grants in donor database.
  • Generate internal grant dashboards and reports as needed.

Donor Cultivation and Stewardship:

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with grant awarding agencies and foundations,
- ensuring compliance with grant requirements and prepare grant reports for funders building long-term partnerships with stakeholders

Plan & Host Donor Cultivation & Stewardship Events


Relationship Building:

  • Represent the organization at networking events, conferences, and community gatherings to build relationships with potential donors, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Function as an ambassador for the organization, effectively communicating our mission, impact, and fundraising needs.

Budgeting and Financial Management:

  • Collaborate with Finance Team to develop and manage the grant funding pipeline and
  • Provide regular reports to leadership on the financial performance of development

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience developing and managing a Grants Calendar
  • Bachelor'sdegree
  • At least 3 years of experience in grant development and management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Experience working with a Fundraising database
  • Familiarity with education, health, or human services nonprofits
  • Detailoriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative environment and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with financial management and budgeting processes.
  • Knowledge of the funding landscape and experience in securing grants from various sources.
  • Valid Georgia driver's license, proof of vehicle liability insurance and able to pass a criminal background check.
