Welder00 shift differential Who we are looking for:
We are currently looking for a Welder
Experience in lean manufacturing or business system based company is a plus.
What you'll do:
Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Perform setup, adjustments and operation of welding machines within the departmentAbility to use basic fabricating tools (i.e. tape measure)Interpret drawings and fabricate based off blueprintsFabricate per customer requirements adhering to specificationsActively participate in Atkore's safety programCross train in different areas of the shop as requiredEnsure all processes are carried out with the required use of safety controls and PPEReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
What you'll bring:
6+ months welding experienceAbility to read a tape measureHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent (preferred)
Ability to work 7:00am-3:30pm Monday-FridayTechnical School Welding Certificate (preferred)Ability to squat, bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand and work a 10-hour shift in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environmentMust be willing to work overtime as neededAll associates must embrace and foster an environment that supports our core values of Integrity, Respect, Excellence, Teamwork and AccountabilityWorking conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.
Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds. The manufacturing plant is not climate controlled.Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, and safety work shoes.
Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.Within 3 months, you'll:
Complete any required trainingHave developed relationships with the key stakeholders for this role.
Be well-versed in Atkore's Business System and the importance of your role to daily operations.
