    Description
    Consult with patients, families and care professionals to address physical medicine and rehabilitation needs
    Provide education and counseling on physical medicine and rehabilitation issues
    Maintain and update medical records
    Articulate, interpret, and apply relevant medical theory, medical law, and health care policies
    Contribute to medical literature
    Provide input to medical staff regarding patient care issues
    Develop, implement, and monitor nursing care plans for specific patient populations
    Certified in Electrodiagnostic Medicine (EDx) and perform EMG testing
    Knowledge of relevant rehab and
    prepare and update treatment plans and reports, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals
    Perform physical exams, diagnostic tests, and treatment procedures, including, but not limited to, injections, nerve blocks, joint injections, and ultrasound guided injections
    Perform patient education and instruct patients on proper use of medical equipment
    Design and implement physical therapy regimens, including therapeutic exercise, aquatic therapy, therapeutic massage, and physical therapy modalities
    Attend and participate in professional and community activities, including, but not limited to, continuing education
