Job Summary


The SUD/MAT Clinical Director provides operational, fiscal, clinical, and therapeutic supervision and direction over the Substance Use/Abuse Disorder (SUD) and Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) service lines.

The SUD/MAT Clinical Director ensures the delivery of high-quality integrated care to individuals living with co-occurring behavioral health and substance use disorders.


Responsibilities

  • Functions as the clinical lead for a team of 1012 licensed/credentialed staff.
  • Oversee the provision of Substance Use/Abuse Disorder (SUD) and Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) services to District Residents consistent with Chapter 63 regulations and other applicable statutes.
  • Responsible for the daytoday operations of all SUD and MAT service lines in a personcentered and best practicefocused environment consistent with ASAM criteria.
  • Responsible for the regulatory compliance and positive audit results of all service lines reviewed by funders, government regulators, and CARF or other accreditation bodies.
  • Recruit, supervise, and evaluate program staff under the guidance of applicable VOACC policies and procedures.
  • Develop and track outcomebased performance indicators.
  • Coordinate and participate in inservice trainings in areas relating to the improvement of SUD and MAT services to clients and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure that an environment is created which is supportive, safe, and appropriately structured for individuals seeking treatment and looking to enter recovery.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Represent the organization well by participating actively in the community and with stakeholders, as an expert in the field.
  • Ensures that all case notes meet quality standards.
  • Ensures that all VOACC policies and procedures are met and remain in compliance.
  • Provide clinical services that address clients' service needs in a safe and supportive environment.
  • Services are provided by staff who are trained and competent to perform assigned duties.
  • Services are offered in compliance with agency, Federal, State, local laws, regulations, and policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Requirements:


  • Master's Degree required with clinical certification in DC as either an LICSW or an LPC-LCPC. Will also consider a nurse practitioner (APRN, RN).
  • At least five years of professional experience in a management role, ideally in a Human Services setting with an active Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) program, SUD Services and/or Behavioral Health wraparound.
  • Proficient knowledge and understanding of ASAM criteria, DSM 5, ICD 10, etc.
  • Record of accomplishment in effectively leading a performance and outcomesbased program utilizing operational strategies to take the program to the next stage of growth.
  • Indepth and refined aspects of communications with the goal of creating a strong presence in the SUD/MAT treatment communities.
  • Experience with utilizing electronic medical records.
  • Excellent administrative and clinical review ability regarding clinical case notes and clinical supervision of direct staff.
  • Persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal and multidisciplinary project management skills.
  • Bilingual in any language a plus.

  • Operating office equipment requiring continuous or repetitive hand/arm movements.
  • The ability to remain in a sitting position for extended periods of time
