    Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic has become a leading community health center with 40+ clinics in Washington and Oregon. We provide various services, including medical, dental, pharmacy, orthodontia, nutritional counseling, autism screening, and behavioral health. Our holistic approach extends to assistance with shelter, energy, weatherization, HIV and AIDS counseling, home visits, and mobile medical/dental clinics.

    Position Highlights:

    • $19-$23/hour DOE with potential for higher pay for experienced candidates
    • $5,000.00 Hiring/Retention Bonus Structure:
      • At Hire: $1,500.00
      • At 90-Days (3 months): $1,500.00
      • At 180-Days (6 months): $2,000.00
      • Bonus pro-rated based on Full Time Equivalency (FTE)

    As a Medical Assistant, you will:

    • Maintain and update patient medical records, including vital signs, treatments, and medications
    • Prepare for patient visits, collaborate with Providers for scheduling, and ensure continuity of care
    • Explain procedures to patients, provide education, assist physicians during exams, and collect lab specimens
    • Administer medication, handle patient questions, and perform clinical responsibilities

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or GED
    • Completion of an accredited medical assisting program with training hours and clinical externship
    • One year of CMA experience preferred
    • CPR certification within 90 days of hire
    • Medical Assistant Certification from WA State Department of Health
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) at level 10 for pay differential
    • Medical knowledge, people skills, and multitasking ability
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Epic, and EMR
