    Summary

    Building and executing strategies for our target customers is complex. This role requires experienced and well-educated marketers to consult and develop strategies with senior marketing leadership in an enterprise setting and lead a team of cross-functional specialists to execute these strategies.

    Current roles in marketing leadership, such as VP or Dir, or comprehensive marketing consulting experience, may indicate a good fit for this role. Rising stars in corporate marketing or marketing consulting may also be great candidates.

    Role Description:

    What impact can a Precision Strategy Consultant make?

    Precision Strategy Consultants (PSCs) at Agility bring expertise in developing and implementing advertising strategies within the broader context of a company's comprehensive marketing portfolio. This includes a deep understanding of marketing strategy, analytics, media buying, digital marketing channel management, project management, and relationship management. Together, these skills guide the development of tailored precision strategies aligned with each customer's unique goals and challenges.

    PSCs lead a cross-functional team of specialists to execute precision advertising strategies to achieve customer KPIs and manage the customer experience. Specialists include audience engineers, optimization specialists, creative production engineers, tracking engineers, and marketing scientists. World-class execution tells the story of success through data and unlocks greater advertising investment with the customer.

    Experience, Qualities, & Skills

    Qualities:

    • Strategic Vision & Planning: Able to collaborate with customer marketing leadership and teams to develop and oversee the execution of precision advertising plans that meet customer objectives, leveraging data and analytics to inform decision-making and measure success.
    • Customer Relationship & Consultation: Act as a strategic advisor to customers, guide them through the precision advertising landscape, and help them understand how your strategy enhances their marketing outcomes. Facilitate meaningful discussions around audience strategy, brand messaging and creative adaptation, marketing initiatives, optimization, measurement, and results.
    • Collaboration & Leadership: Lead a cross-functional team to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to customer strategies. Mentor and guide junior team members to foster a culture of learning and professional growth. Have a continuous improvement mindset, learn quickly, and adapt to meet the customer and the team's needs. Coordinate with specialists to ensure campaigns are aligned with strategic objectives and deliver maximum ROI.
    • Communication & Persuasion: Engage with customers through email, Slack, video calls, and in-person meetings as needed. Articulate complex marketing strategies and insights clearly and persuasively and drive strategic conversations around market opportunities, challenges, and solutions in quarterly business reviews.
    • Principles & Ethics: Care deeply about integrity, setting and achieving goals, and doing work you're proud of. Build and maintain relationships to achieve results. Understand focus as a tool for executing with precision.
    • Innovation & Growth: Consult to identify strategic growth opportunities for customers and collaborate with Account Executives to develop compelling presentations. Identify key customer insights by working with Product Owners to inform opportunities to surprise and delight customers. Support initiatives that align with Agility's objectives and key results (OKRs), driving internal innovation and performance improvement.
    • Network & Advocacy: In any of these areas you don't feel strong in, you have loyal peers and past team members who are exceptional and would "follow you" in joining Agility. Through exceptional results and advocacy, you help build a positive impression of Agility in your network.

    Role-Specific Experience

    • Five years of experience minimum in digital marketing, advertising, marketing management, or programmatic media buying, including Display, CTV, Audio, or DooH, and three years minimum in marketing leadership or strategic consulting
    • Working knowledge of Demand Side Platform campaign construction and management, including audience targeting tactics and levers
    • Experience in other digital marketing channels (PPC, Social, Email, and SEO)
    • Proficiency in third-party analytic platforms (GA)
    • Passion for marketing strategy–fluent in Google Sheets (or Excel) for marketing reporting analysis
    • Familiar with Multi-Touch Attribution Reporting, Lift Analysis, and Brand Lift Studies
    • Professional presentation ability in spoken and written word, dress, and attitude–you are seen as an accomplished professional with impressive expertise
    • Detail-oriented in relationship management
    • History of successful project management using tools like Hubspot, Monday, or Trello to manage and track success
    • Can establish a work plan, prioritize tasks, scope work, delegate, and make difficult trade-offs to meet customer and team needs
    • Emotional awareness and intelligence in analyzing interactions and identifying opportunities for improvement
    • Able to drive projects to completion
    • Experience managing paid media budgets of at least $500,000 annually

    Tasks & Responsibilities

    Customer Management

    • Prepare for and lead strategic discovery and planning meetings
    • Direct internal and customer teams in creative and strategy-focused discussions
    • Understand customers' internal company structure and manage relationships
    • Coordinate with vendor, analytic, or audience partners on behalf of customers
    • Own reporting calls and quarterly business reviews using best practices and innovative methods for data segmentation to tell the story of precision advertising
    • Understand customers' fiscal year, decision-making process, budget stakeholders, and budget capacity to forecast available advertising budget–know how and when to consult customers to propose new opportunities to enhance marketing results

    Strategy and Reporting

    • Consult with customers to design persona strategies
    • Active participant in messaging, ad creative, and design discussions
    • Manage campaign timing and budget, including accurate forecasts of customers' investment in precision advertising
    • Drive strategy through audience, inventory, creative, tracking, measurement, and reporting consultation with the customer
    • Support strategists and engineers in execution and reporting, understand strategic optimizations, and assist with account optimization and planning
    • Create feedback loops for campaign success with internal stakeholders and customers

    Internal Team Responsibilities

    • Identify key tasks to own and delegate tasks to specialists
    • Stay current with trends, product offerings, and new technologies
    • Become an expert in precision advertising, making vendor and partner recommendations

    Retention and Upsell

    • Take responsibility for the performance and success of your customers, retaining and growing revenue.
    • Hold to revenue and retention targets.
    • Get creative in strategically timing new initiatives

    Compensation

    • Salary Range: Depending on experience, $70,000 - $80,000 + Plus Commission for the amount of business managed.
    • Healthcare: We pay 100% of your and your dependents' healthcare, dental, and vision premiums. Benefits will be effective the 1st day of your first full month.
    • Agility Lunches: Agility provides a weekly stipend of $50 to support your nutrition and keep you fueled at work
    • Paid Time Off: Uncapped
    • Stock Options: Equity is subject to the rollout of Agility's stock option plan, currently projected for March 2024.
