Tasks:

What you will do in the apprenticeship:

  • Apprenticeship focusing on electronics topics
  • Creation of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components as well as complex systems
  • Development of electronic circuits and boards (including power electronics)
  • Analysis of required functionalities and technical environmental conditions
  • Testing, maintenance, repair, and programming of devices, systems, and product components
  • At the beginning of the apprenticeship, basic knowledge of electrical engineering will be taught at external training facilities
  • The apprenticeship is usually shortened to a duration of 2.5 years

What to expect in the study program:
  • Acquisition of knowledge in the fields of electrical engineering, mathematics, physics, and computer science/programming as part of the Electrical Engineering degree program at FH Südwestfalen, Hagen campus
  • Acquisition of key qualifications (project management, presentation techniques, etc.)
  • After completing the first phase of the apprenticeship, you will work in engineering-related activities for 4 days a week
  • The focus of the second phase of the apprenticeship is on product development
