- Planning and coordinate of VIPER Rover test and operations activitiesSupport Test and Verification (T&V) activities for VIPER Rover flight hardware
- Support T&V team and coordinate dissemination for Verification and Validation data and requirements closures
- Work in a team environment, and report to VIPER project manager for technical support, task assignment, and processes
- Support hardware troubleshooting to investigate mechanical and electrical failures within flight hardware or test support hardware
- Generate essential paperwork and documents for tasks assigned, such as Task Performance Sheets (TPS), Discrepancy Reports (DR), and Detailed Test Procedures (DTP), as needed
- Perform job functions based on pre-established guidelines or instructions
- Manage and track procurements for VIPER SI&T efforts
- Perform other duties as required
- Typically requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Engineering and may be expected to have a related master's degree and normally possess 10-15 years of related experience.
- Experience with hands-on hardware assembly and testing
- Experience with test procedure development
- Must be able to organize and prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines and schedules with limited supervision
- Self-motivated, team player and adaptable to a dynamic environment and the ability to complete all assignments as required
- Prior experience with hardware anomaly troubleshooting and failure analysis
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and will be expected to effectively interact with customers and management at all levels
- Must have the ability to visualize and work with complex mechanical/electrical systems and work with others in problem solving as part of a team
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products
- Familiar with Johnson Space Center (JSC) organizations, processes, and procedures - Experience with hardware processing for spaceflight
- Previous experience with the VIPER project
- Familiarity with the Engineering Life Cycle process

Essential Functions
Work Environment
Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.
Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).
Equipment and Machines
Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).
Attendance
Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
