Depuy Synthes, Part of Johnson & Johnson MedTech, is looking for a Global Inventory Management Lead.

The primary location for this position is West Chester, PA, with consideration for Raynham, MA; Warsaw, IN, Cork, Ireland & Zuchwil, Switzerland.

Remote work options may be considered on a case-by-case basis and if approved by the company.

You will be the person leading the team that is responsible to deliver Inventory optimization programs for DPS.

As a SME, you will drive the Inventory Optimization Program within your area of accountability, including the Hub Entitlement, Lead Time, Safety Stocks, Cycle Stock and Multi-Echelon Optimization, among others.

The overarching goal of this position is to deliver continuous improvement in areas of impact within Inventory Management across DePuy Synthes.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide detailed understanding of current and forwardlooking inventory health and highlight key insights for supply chain/commercial/finance leadership to ensure business planning strategy/processes in line with inventory targets.
  • Engage business partners via Global DPS S&OP Processes to communicate relevant inventory risks and opportunities (vs. business plan targets) and drives accountability specific to supply/demand inventory governance processes.
  • Host monthly reviews with regional supply chain partners focused on addressing root causes for increased inventory requirements and establish action plans to improve / reduce requirements.
  • Enhance inventory reporting capabilities (utilizing Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.) via implementation of reports/dashboards creating visibility to key inventory trends/ metrics for senior leadership and business partners.
  • Streamline/automate data gathering process required to support weekly/monthly inventory reviews focused on inventory trending (actuals), inventory projections, and tracking of inventory efficiency programs.
  • Seek opportunities and lead implementation of inventory optimization programs focused on improving inventory health via optimization of planning parameters (e.g. Cycle time, LT, MOQ, Demand Forecast) and/or implementation of process governance capabilities.
  • Define tradeoffs for inventory optimization through assessments (e.g. simulations) of proposed strategic inventory initiatives, allowing for tradeoff decisions across the strategic performance parameters (service level, cost and capital/inventory).
  • Develop processes around Slow Moving and Obsolete (SLOB) Prevention / SLOB Performance Management through completion of Pre-SLOB analyses along with execution scrap as required.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree with a focus in a Business, Technical, or Operations; like Supply Chain Management, Operations Research or Engineering.
  • A minimum 4 years of professional experience in Supply Chain Planning and/or extensive knowledge of S&OP processes, Demand Planning and/or Inventory Management required
  • Advanced analytical experience—focus on data mining, analysis, and reporting key business required, Tableau/PowerBI preferred.
  • Advanced Excel/ PowerPoint experience required
  • Selflearning or formal training on coding platforms like Alteryx / R / Python and /or proficiency in reporting platforms like Tableau / Power BI highly preferred
  • APICS certification
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to communicate to Business Partners/Sr Leadership in a concise and eloquent manner, showing a solid understanding of inventory fundamentals, but focusing on issues and drive solutions.
  • Interpersonal, negotiating, trade off decisionmaking process, and influencing skills are required.
  • Proven enterprise approach, with ability to impact and collaborate across multigeography and with regional team, in crossfunctional environments to achieve business objectives.
  • Experienced in leading crossfunctional global projects and teams.
  • Alteryx / R / Python / Tableau / Power BI certifications
  • Lean or Six Sigma training or certification, or experience in industry or prior projects with high degree of lean thinking
  • In depth knowledge of ERP systems (JD Edwards, SAP, APO or similar).
  • English language proficiency is required. French / German are a plus but not required.
  • Role is based but not limited to North America, given the Global nature of the role.
  • Travel requirement up to 15% domestic and international.
