Job Description

West Coast Escrow is seeking a highly motivated, high integrity Branch Manager, with at least a $500k book of business.

This position will handle incoming escrows from beginning to end and everything in between, managing and coaching staff, recruiting to grow the branch and/or operation overall, and be responsible for all levels of customer care and proactive problem resolution on files and with staff.

The Branch Manager will participate in all company and customer meetings as required and keep the staff informed of new company and industry policies and procedures.

The Branch Manager works closely with the sales representative and senior leadership to increase revenue and profits, manage expenses, increase partner capture and third-party market share.

The Branch Manager is responsible for opening new escrows and maintaining client relationships to build the branch revenue and support the other team players in assigning their daily duties and responsibilities.

Additional responsibilities include:

Partner closely with sales team in order to create an effective sales strategy based on existing clients needs and potential new business leads.
Collaborate with sales and affiliate partners in order to grow capture rates in assigned brokerage offices.
Comply with all regulatory requirements, especially in regard to trust accounting
Perform transactional processing on files including but not limited to monitoring contingencies/conditions; preparing escrow instructions, estimate statements, title transfer documents and all documents necessary to clear exceptions.
Prepare file for funding; order Hazard Insurance; balance and close file; set up and monitor recording; monitor lead assistant or other officer to always review the figures before file is completely balanced (referred to as "double audit")
Sign off on check/file ledger after file is balanced; print checks and closing statements after the audit; disburse checks to appropriate parties; communicate to parties when the file has closed and when funds will be disbursed.
Mitigate client relations issues by finding reasonable solutions. Partner with leadership in order to escalate any significant issues.

Qualifications:

Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience as an Escrow Officer in order to meet requirements for Branch Manager designation under the Department of Financial Protection and Innovation (DFPI).
Demonstrate outstanding communication skills both verbal and written.
Expert knowledge of escrow laws and processes.
Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high volume, deadline-oriented environment.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.

$70,000 - $85,000; At Anywhere, actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications.
