    Description

    Are you looking for a professional, stable, and consistent work environment where you have the ability to produce high quality, detailed work? American Chemet is hiring for an experienced Export Sales Coordinator to join our team in Deerfield, IL.

    The Export Sales Coordinator is part of a cohesive sales team, working closely with the outside sales team and other coordinators. This team serves as the liaison between customers and American Chemet to ensure proactive and efficient customer service is delivered to the customers. This position is also responsible for the productive management of order handling, storage, inside and outside coordination and collaboration with customers, production, freight forwarders, trans loaders, and shipping lines.

    Responsibilities

    Export Coordinator Logistics and Customer Service Experience

    • Proactively manages and processes all aspects of export orders by quoting a price, requesting hedge, pricing order, entering order into system, requesting shipping information from production and freight forwarder, confirming orders and delivery to customer, prepare documentation, matching orders with invoices and filing.
    • Responsible for arranging and managing the transport of goods; coordinating and communicating with freight forwarders and loading facilities to facilitate the movement of freight.
    • Responsible for ensuring compliance with laws regarding export, customs, applicable foreign trade/importation laws.
    • Timely management of multiple lines of communication between suppliers, shippers, sales, marketing, customers and internal parties
    Export Coordinator Documentation Experience
    • Audits and maintains export sales files.
    • Prepare all related documents pertaining to shipping/international shipping.
    • Maintain export warehouse and consignment book by entering orders, tracking stock levels and placing consignment/usage orders.
    • Keep container shipping line records to meet contract minimums and review contracts.
    • Coordinates fiscal year end physical inventory counts at all international warehouses and consignment stock.
    • Reviews Letter of Credit and works with banks and accounting to insure collection of these and other financial instruments.
    • Reviews and verifies accuracy of export documents prior to submitting to accounts payable for payment.
    Requirements

    Qualifications
    • Eagerness to learn, grow and solve problems while producing high quality, detailed work based on established standards, guidelines, and procedures.
    • Willing and helpful with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
    • Excellent customer service with the ability to effectively present information to customers and other employees.
    • Detailed oriented with strong regard for quality.
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as letters of credit.
    • Proficiency in Windows Office Suite
    • Understanding of Incoterms is preferable.
    • Past experience with FCL and LCL.
    • 3-5 years of export experience
