- Sources, selects, and qualifies a variety of suppliers and components used in the company's technology.
- Investigates alternate component technologies or supplies of moderate scope, reducing cost and improving quality and reliability.
- Acts as technical interface between component/production suppliers and development engineers, determining new and alternate sources.
- Assist with developing guidelines/procedures on vendor selection.
- May evaluate supplier change notification and qualifies changes, as needed.
- May maintain component data management system including qualification records/results/documentation.
- Ability to travel up to 20% of time.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required with relevant technical education or equivalent technical experience.
- Minimum 5+ years experience in a Sr level Purchasing, Procurement, Mechanical Engineering, or other transferable field.
- Ability to comprehend mechanical drawings and other technical documentation.
- Extensive supplier management experience.
- A collaborative, solution-focused individual with strong communication skills
