**Components Engineer**

We are looking for a Components Engineer to join our Exlar team

As our Components Engineer you will, lead the search and selection of suppliers for a variety of goods ranging from electronics, machining components, bearings and seals, and raw materials. You will Work with cross-functional teams, the Components Engineer will be a key team player in supplier development, supplier quality management, and bid proposals for large contracts/volume purchasing for the Exlar facility.

**Your Challenge**

+ Sources, selects, and qualifies a variety of suppliers and components used in the companys technology.

+ Investigates alternate component technologies or supplies of moderate scope, reducing cost and improving quality and reliability.

+ Acts as technical interface between component/production suppliers and development engineers, determining new and alternate sources.

+ Assist with developing guidelines/procedures on vendor selection.

+ May evaluate supplier change notification and qualifies changes, as needed.

+ May maintain component data management system including qualification records/results/documentation.

+ Ability to travel up to 20% of time.

**What You Bring**

+ High School Diploma or equivalent required with relevant technical education or equivalent technical experience.

+ Minimum 5+ years experience in a Sr level Purchasing, Procurement, Mechanical Engineering, or other transferable field.

+ Ability to comprehend mechanical drawings and other technical documentation.

+ Extensive supplier management experience.

+ A collaborative, solution-focused individual with strong communication skills
