Amazon Web Services is seeking a Billing Specialist to support our fast growing Professional Services practice. This is a unique opportunity that will give you hands on experience in Billing & Invoicing and Revenue Management across the countries in the Americas that we support and drive high-impact, scalable solutions ultimately accelerating our enterprise customers journey to the cloud. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with Order-To-Cash (OTC) experience, strong relationship skills, experience in process enhancements across functions and geographies, and a pursuit for improvement. This individual must have a proven record of delivering, problem solving skills, financial process and system knowledge, and a passion for customer experience.

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US citizen.

Key job responsibilities

Own and deliver all financial transactions for Professional Services including monthly billing, credit and rebills, prepayments, support revenue and cost accrual reconciliations and reporting.

Provide day to day support of to stakeholders inquiries and NatSec related accounts while adhering to defined SLAs.

Invent new ways to define and measure program effectiveness and organizational productivity.

Streamline and standardize billing processes to align with global best practices and maintain controls and compliance.

Coordinate with teams across Leadership, BusAdv, Finance, Accounting, Tax, Legal, HR, Financial Operation teams, and IT to ensure that the Standard Operations Procedures are followed and implemented.

Provides input and consultation to business operations and sales team to ensure understanding and consistency.

Lead special projects to drive improvements and integrations across the Professional Services Operations and partnering business teams.

Able to dive deep to inspect and scrutinize large data sets to mitigate business risk and downstream impacts of billing activities.

Able to assist with necessary UAT testing as part of market expansion launches and SFDC, Commerce Platform, Clipper and OFA troubleshooting as needed.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance / Accounting or related field

2+ years of experience working in professional service operations and/or financial operations, for example order to cash operations

Experience inputting, extracting, and analyzing data in Microsoft Excel

Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple priorities in a fast paced, growing and ambiguous environment

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with SalesForce (SFDC), Commerce Platform (CP)/Billing Console, Oracle Financials (OFA) and Business Intelligence (BI)

Experience in tracking and working with end customers on accounts receivable issues

Thrive in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired

History of teamwork and willingness to roll up ones sleeves to get the job done

Experience with understanding complex process flows and driving process improvements

Strong verbal and written communication skills
