- Conduct analysis of submitted position questionnaires for classification.
- Research and pull job descriptions and salary information from various salary surveys.
- Apply job evaluation techniques to establish equitable compensation rates within the organization as compared to market rates.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and administration of the annual merit system.
- Perform compensation budget tracking.
- Perform market & promotion increase coordination.
- Conduct background internal and external equity research and develop salary offers.
- Participate in Compensation pricing activities for Request for Proposals (RFPs).
- Create and evaluate Estimated Market Values (EMVs) for the CIP proposal.
- Create organizational unit Compensation budgets.
- Track CIP allocations throughout the Compensation year.
- Update the salary structure.
- Prepares analysis, tables, and exhibits for salary proposals and reports.
- Administer the company's variable pay compensation programs in accordance with established policies.
- Assist with the administration of the incentive compensation programs.
- Respond to a variety of compensation surveys.
- Perform analysis and summarization of compensation surveys, in order to analyze the competitiveness of ORAUs salary programs related to the market.
- Keep abreast of and ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws, such as the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and the Service Contract Act (SCA).
- Collect data about company's Compensation policies and analyze them to prepare reports and advise managers for making important decisions.
- Ability to apply basic knowledge and quickly acquire more in-depth knowledge to successfully complete assignments.
- Ability to research and analyze general data and information to distill into focused and useful form.
- Ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work.
- Able to effectively manage a demanding workload.
- Flexibility and the ability to multi-task and move from one task to another quickly are essential.
- Must have experience with Microsoft Office, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; Oracle experience preferred.
- Preferred professional experience in compensation.
- Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)certification preferred.
- Knowledge of compensation, benefits, human resource information systems, various HR-related regulations and laws, and government compliance is preferred.
- Demonstrated excellent skills in verbal and written communication, customer service, teamwork and prioritizing multiple and competing tasks.

LOCATION: Oak Ridge, TN or Hybrid (Partial telework available)
SALARY RANGE: $69,867 to $97,192
*Telework: Partial telework is available (Working from home 3-4 days a week and in office 1-2 days a week). This position will be required to work in the office in Oak Ridge, TN.
PURPOSE:
To perform a full scope of professional level compensation activities. This includes assisting in the development and administration of various compensation programs and activities.

Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, scientific, technical, education or related field and 3 to 5 years of job-related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience performing duties as described may be substituted for the minimum requirements.
*The candidates starting salary will be determined upon hire and ORAU will use salary survey data, internal comparators, and the candidates qualifications to determine salary.
