- Using the latest version of Mastercam software, program HAAS, FANUC, DMS, and Thermwood 3, 4, & 5-Axis CNC mills as well as Doosan Lathes following the set manufacturing method.
- Provide support to router and laser department such as converting Solids to STL, DXF flat patterns as needed by utilizing Mastercam and NX software to prepare CNC programs for 3-axis CNC Routers and 2-axis CNC Laser cutters.
- Optimize programs and manufacturing methods for continuous process improvement. When required, work with customers to resolve CAD data technical issues. Advise and assist in developing the manufacture of complex tools, interrelated mechanisms, and fixtures.
- Create detailed documentation (setup sheets) on how to setup billets for various sequences of machining operations, prove out machining programs by achieving conforming dimensional hardware.
- Assist with development of CNC programming configuration management system and eliminate duplicate programs throughout machine controllers and within electronic filing system; inclusive of monthly audits of each machine work center console.
- Create Mill and Lathe tooling programs.
- Work closely with shop floor personnel to debug and optimize CNC programs (Mastercam 2023, NX Pro, etc).
- Suggest and help implement cost reductions and quality improvements.
- Make recommendations for product design enhancements and manufacturability.
- When required, work with customers to resolve computer aided design (CAD) data technical issues to ensure total customer satisfaction and defect free delivery.
- Handle various special projects as assigned by management.
- Set up preliminary runs to verify accuracy and provide feedback for process improvements. Inclusive of machining 1st Article parts and making offset and/or program modifications based on inspection results.
- Diagnose and rectify tooling and program problems.
- Thoroughly understand GD&T, blueprint, and engineering drawings to ensure proper setup, sequence of operations, dimensions and tolerance levels of finished product.
- Assist with estimating run times for new Request for Quotation (RFQ) opportunities.
- Provide recommendations to improve production methods and best use of equipment and tooling.
- Confer with other management to resolve machining and assembly issues.
- Work from customer supplied models and blueprints, plan an efficient manufacturing method to complete parts that conform to external customer quality and dimensional requirements as well as our own internal quality system requirements per AS9100.
- Operate machines until required part quantities have been made.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Manage the procurement of tools as required per programming files; multiple source suppliers to minimize cost and lead times on tooling.
- Lead various special projects as assigned by management.
- Predict how long a programming project will take to complete in hours.
- Support with in-process inspections quality team on parts using precision measuring instruments and gauges.
- Learn to perform cross-functional operations.
- At least 10 years of multi-axis (3, 4, and 5 Axis) CNC programming experience utilizing Mastercam software.
- A high degree of initiative and self-motivation to help lead and develop teams and manage diverse workgroups.
- Proficient level experience in 5-Axis CNC Programming.
- Thorough understanding of GD&T.
- Thorough understanding of ASME Y14.5.
- Familiarity with the operations of DMS & Thermwood 5-axis routers, HAAS 3, 4 & 5 axis mills and Doosan Lynx l
- Lathes with live milling and sub-spindle.
- Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry/trigonometry concepts that apply to machining.
- Strong safety, quality, and teamwork orientation with track record of dependability.
- Ability to analyze and interpret drawings of complex mechanical tooling design blueprints of a highly technical nature.
- Good communication skills with engineering, manufacturing, customers, etc. to exchange information or receive clarification of design specs or concepts to complete job assignment.
- Blueprint reading comprehension is a must.
- 5 axis programming proficiency is a must.
- Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written English.
- Ability to learn to perform cross-functional operations.
- Experience with machining a wide range of metallic and engineered technical materials such as: Nomex & Aluminum honeycomb core, solid Aluminum & Metallics, Plastics, Ablative Cork, GFRP, Carbon Fiber, Phenolics etc. is strongly preferred.
- Experience working in an aerospace, AS9100 environment.
- Surface modeling plus solid experience necessary.
- Programming, planning and machining strategies are plus.
- Must be authorized to work in the US.
- Must be willing to undergo a criminal background check.
- Must be able to pass a physical examination, including a drug and alcohol test.
- Frequent standing and walking; occasional climbing and balancing on large equipment; kneeling; bending; and crouching.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to navigate warehouse and reach items both high and low.
- Use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Stand for long periods of time. Repeat the same movements. Bend or twist their body. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift/or move up to 50 pounds.
- CNC Programmers spend a portion of the day on their feet and must follow strict safety rules. They wear safety glasses to protect their eyes from airborne debris. Loud noise from machinery requires use of hearing protectors. They wear hard toe shoes or boots to protect their feet from potential dropped objects.

Job Description for CNC Mastercam Programmer
Summary: Hera Technologies, LLC (the "Company") is an aerospace machine shop dedicated to supporting launch vehicles and commercial aircraft with advanced-material build-to CAD model components. We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented CNC Programmer to join our team. The individual will perform the responsibilities listed below and other duties as required by the Company. The successful candidate will lead the team with all aspects of programming for CNC Machines and be the primary "GO TO" person for machinists in the setup of complex machining applications.
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt Hourly
Type: Full-time
Salary Range: $ $41.00 DOE
Hours: 6:00AM to 2:30PM Monday through Friday; Some weekend work may be necessary. Hours may be adjusted at the discretion of your supervisor.

Location: 100% onsite at 1055 E Francis St. Ontario, CA 91761
