Your task:

In addition to the official monitoring of traffic with food, cosmetic products, tattooing products, tobacco products and consumer goods, your responsibilities also include the safe application of your comprehensive knowledge of food law.

Furthermore, your responsibilities include:
- conducting regular inspections of businesses, including reviewing and evaluating their own measures and controls
- taking samples to ensure compliance with food law regulations
- initiating necessary measures for hazard prevention
- issuing administrative orders and warnings based on the Administrative Offenses Act

What you bring:

- completed qualification as a food inspector according to the applicable Food Inspector Regulation
- professional experience in official food monitoring is advantageous
- knowledge of quality management is desirable
- good knowledge of the Balvi-IP/Balvi mobile software
- high level of responsibility and resilience, as well as willingness to perform tasks outside of regular working hours
- social competence, communication skills, assertiveness, and teamwork
- driver's license class B and willingness to use private vehicle for work purposes
- a heart for Chemnitz and the region
