    Description


    Insight Global is looking for a Professional Liability Facultative Underwriter to join the Management/Professional Liability Facultative team at one of the leading international reinsurance companies.

    This is a permanent, full-time role in a hybrid environment 3 days a week on-site in the Financial District of Manhattan.

    This individual will be joining a small team of two other underwriters and will primarily be responsible for development of the portfolio of the product lines:
    Cyber, D&O (directors and officers liability), E&O (executives and officers liability) and more. In this role, there is high exposure to upper management within the underwriting team.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


    • Managing all aspects of Broker/Client relationships including marketing, negotiating, and underwriting new and renewal accounts
    • Assessing complex risks associated with underwriting a Management/Professional liability facultative book of business
    • Staying up to date on industry dynamics and policy form coverages
    • Collaboration with underwriting, actuarial and claims teams as necessary
    • Client service and management including assisting in underwriting audits, account maintenance for both new and existing client bases
    • Tracking and managing liability aggregation
    3+ years of Management/Professional liability underwriting experience

    • Ability to handle a book of business across several product lines and a proven track record of developing new business relationships
    • Experience with analyzing balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements
    • Ability to identify business industry trends (both micro and macro) and using these trends to evaluate their impact on exposure
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial software (ex: Fact Set, SNL)
    • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time to attend client and/or broker marketing
