    Location: Salt Lake City, UT

    Hours: Full time/40 hrs. per week

    Compensation: $18.00 per hour

    Description:

    • Join our team as a Phlebotomist/Specimen Collector, playing a crucial role in the drug testing process for our client.
    • Responsibilities include efficiently and safely collecting urine samples from patients for laboratory testing.
    • You will conduct observed and supervised specimen collections.
    • Observed Collections involve direct observation of the sample collection, while Supervised Collections require being in close proximity to the patient.


    Responsibilities:

    • Facilitate the collection, processing, and shipping of blood and urine specimens.
    • Perform venipuncture for blood specimen collection.
    • Collect urine specimens from patients.
    • Ensure accurate patient identification before specimen collection.
    • Properly label, document, and prepare specimens for shipment.
    • Demonstrate compassionate customer service to patients, physicians, and clinic staff.
    • Effectively communicate with a diverse patient population.
    • Adhere to Universal Precautions, OSHA standards, and HIPAA guidelines.
    • Report low volume shifts, issues, or deviations to the Supervisor.
    • Maintain clean and organized work areas.
    • Manage order processing and office supplies.

    Skills/Abilities Required:

    • At least 6 months of venipuncture experience.
    • Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service.
    • Reliable and hardworking.
    • Proficient in computer skills, data entry, and multi-tasking.
    • Clear and confident communication abilities.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to stand for extended periods.
    • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Physical activities include walking, sitting, bending, lifting, stooping, kneeling, reaching, twisting, and squatting.
