Position Summary
District Manager ensures all routes within designated area are properly contracted for delivery, sales, and collections to individuals which meet the minimum qualifications and insures minimum performance standards established in circulation contract are met.
Requirements:Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensures all routes within designated area are properly contracted for delivery, sales, and collections to individuals which meet the minimum qualifications and insures minimum performance standards established in circulation contract are met; Ensure that all customer service problems within designated area are solved in a manner that is satisfactory to the subscriber; Establishes working relationship with independent contractors to assure contractors meet or exceed service goals; Responsible for contractor accounts receivable within designated area; Assist with the dispatching of newspapers and the checking in of carriers at the distribution center as needed; Maintain a positive attitude and good working relationship when dealing with customers, contractors, and other employees. Run any open routes in assigned district or as directed by Circulation Manager until carrier is contracted for that route; Other duties as requested by management.
Minimum Qualifications Education
High School diploma or College degree preferred
Fundamental in business management, good people and verbal skills preferred.
Should possess basic computer skills in Excel and Microsoft Word.
