- Manages Accounting/Finance Operations:
- Prepares accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analyses.
- Ensures compliance with accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
- Prepares Advanced Analysis, Forecasting, and Reporting:
- Provides insightful financial forecasts to support decision making.
- Develops, monitors, and analyzes budgets to ensure financial stability.
- Prepares financial outlooks, forecasts, and other reports as needed.
- Supports Business Leaders and External Support Professionals:
- Recommends metrics for measuring the financial and operating performance of Company departments.
- Assists external professionals with various reporting.
- Ensures compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Provides Leadership within the Department:
- Leads and mentors the accounting team fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
- Provides guidance on complex accounting issues.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in business-related field, Accounting or Finance preferred.
- CPA and/or CMA highly preferred.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in accounting or finance strongly preferred.
- Three (3) or more years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of state financial regulations and Statutory Accounting Principles.
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
- Microsoft Office proficiency required.
- Working knowledge of financial/accounting software and database mining tools required.
- Experience with Applied Epic strongly desired.
