    Job Description



    POSITION OBJECTIVE

    The senior project manager performs diverse, complex management duties to oversee and sustain the Center for Clinical Investigations Community Health Programs. As a member of the central Community Health Programs team, the senior project manager works with and under the direction of the center senior director, in coordination with partner agencies, project teams, external partners, and target audiences, to sustain and advance the community health programs and is central to its ongoing success and sustainability. The senior project manager works under the direction of central team leadership at Case Western Reserve School of Medicine and with project teams including an extensive network of stakeholders and partners throughout the region and state. The senior project manager develops and is responsible for multiple projects and related timelines and budgets and for implementing their scopes of work, including annual work plans, deliverables, data and evaluation activities, Project ECHO TeleECHO Clinics, timelines, assigned tasks, resources, project meetings, and reports.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    1. Working with the community health leadership teams, central and partner project teams, including vendors, consultants, and advisors, plan and oversee project timelines. Serve as the team lead for assigned project teams. Organize and lead virtual and in-person team meetings at Case Western Reserve University and plan, schedule and attend project team meetings as required to ensure that deliverables and timelines are achieved. Plan, coordinate, and lead the planning and implementation of online sessions to advance and support the community health programs and associated projects at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. (65%)
    2. Responsible for day-to-day oversight and operations of projects including internal, external, and web-based systems, personnel, and administration. Identity and develop funding proposals and budgets. Responsible for monitoring project budgets, expenditures, and overall financial performance and reporting requirements. Execute grant reports and budget revisions as needed. Ensure compliance with all grant-related policies including proper documentation, required reporting and invoicing, and timely communication with project sponsors. Work closely with CCI finance, track and monitor revenue and expense budgets. Prepare departmental performance and financial analyses and reports. (28%)

    NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    1. Participate in national, state, and community meetings, conferences, committees, and task forces as required. Works in conjunction with appropriate department operations and Research Administration at the university. (5%)
    2. Perform other duties as assigned. (2%)

    CONTACTS

    Department: Contact with all levels of departmental faculty and staff to maintain workflow.

    University: Regular contact with the Office of the Vice Dean for Translational Research Office, government relations, and communications to exchange information.

    External: Daily contact with partners, government leadership, and other private and non-profit entities. Contact with contractors, outside vendors, and distributors of products.

    Students: Little or no contact with students.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

    Directly supervises program staff as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Experience: 6 to 8 years of management/supervisory experience in a corporate or nonprofit organization; a healthcare setting is a plus.

    Education: Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred.

    REQUIRED SKILLS

    1. Demonstrated success overseeing complex projects and timelines
    2. Exceptional writing, editing and oral skills; proven record of using positive communication skills to maintain and build internal and external relationships
    3. Experience with fund development, grant-writing, and preparing written reports
    4. Proven track record of success with management of multi-million dollar operating and programmatic budgets and operations
    5. Business acumen and experience in the areas of fiscal management, organizational development and team building, budgeting, and operations
    6. Commitment to and experience with community engagement and recruitment of organizations, partners, and individuals needed to advance the community health programs
    7. Strong leadership, organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills, including an ability to interact well with faculty, staff, and government and leadership, including community stakeholders
    8. High degree of integrity
    9. Flexible, creative problem solver able to thrive in an ever-changing environment
    10. Experience with web-based platforms for team-based learning
    11. Highly proficient in information technology and use of applications
    12. Knowledge and experience working with databases; ability to effectively manage information systems
    13. Ability to collect, use, and interpret data to measure outcomes and evaluate success
    14. Online surveys; knowledge of and experience with REDCap
    15. Database management and maintenance
    16. Comfortable working in a fast paced work environment
    17. Ability to manage and meet concurrent deadlines and perform multiple tasks at once
    18. High proficiency with office and creative software, i.e. MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel, Adobe, etc.
    19. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    20. Excellent time management practices and organizational skills
    21. Strong aptitude for operational procedures and processes and process improvement
    22. Ability to meet consistent attendance.
    23. Ability to interact with colleagues, supervisors and customers face to face.

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    Some local and statewide travel. Evening and weekend hours may be required.

    Hybrid Eligibility



    This position is eligible for hybrid work arrangement up to two remote days per week at the discretion of the department. New employees may begin a hybrid schedule upon approval from the supervisor, successful completion of an orientation period and signing the remote work checklist certification form.
