Description

The Field Supervisor position is responsible for overseeing the safety of all activity while buses are in transit; ensuring the company is always represented in a positive and professional manor.


Specific Duties:


  • Supervise drivers while in transit to ensure their following all company standards and polices as well as state and federal laws.
  • Acts as the first point of conduct in the field for any incident escalations.
  • Respond to student conduct issues—when necessary, contact parents and serve as a liaison between driver and parent for student behavior concerns.
  • Conduct citation meetings as needed.
  • Investigate accidents, customer service complaints, driver behavior concerns, employee concerns and student conduct concerns, observing on board camera footage, GPS coordinates, witness reports and other resources available.
  • Submit all reports, documentations of investigations as required by contract, company policy, and/or state/federal laws.
  • Inspire a team atmosphere and ensure positive employee pupil interaction.
  • Supervise arrival and departure procedures at schools.
  • Collaborate with the safety department assisting with safety meetings and inservices trainings related to pupils.
  • Provide input to employee evaluations, retaining needs, counseling, documentation, and employee discipline.
  • Drive route as needed.
  • Working with safety systems to ensure driver credentials are current.
  • Other duties not listed above as required and/or assigned.

Required Knowledge & Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to always maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Familiarity with the Milwaukee area and coordinates
  • Accelerated ability to analyze and solve problems as they arise.
  • Must be highly reliable and have a strong work ethic.
  • Must be computer proficient including entire Microsoft Office Suite software with the aptitude to learn new software quickly.

Required Education and Experience

  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • At least 2 years within the yellow school bus industry

Required Licensing

  • Driver's License
  • Ability and willingness to obtain CDL with all required endorsements to drive a school bus in the state of Illinois.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 or more years in a leadership role
  • 1 or more years in a customer service role

$ $26.00 per hour
